His childhood and early life were spent in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. He was educated in Magadi Karanikara Veda Pathasala at Basavangudi, Bengaluru. He studied Krishna Yajurvedam and Sanskrit for seven years. Then he went on to study Shaiva Agama Pravara at Maharaj Sanskrit College.
He served as a priest over 13 years at Hindu temple of St.Louis before starting his freelance priest services. He has also performed and participated in Kumbhabhishekams, Pranaprathishtapanas, Bramhotsavas, Athi Rudra Maha Yagam in various temples across USA and India.
